Modern Action/Suspense No memory....

This is my first time trying out an RPG, i've never done anything like this before. I'm not using any system, just trying things out. I really like the idea of starting out with a blank canvas and then developing myself and the world as i go along. It may or may not work, we'll see. If you have any comments or tips, please feel free to leave them. I hope we both enjoy the ride.....




I wake up in an old hut. No recollection of how i got here. For that matter i have no memory at all. Who am i? I am male and slim built, fairly tall i would say looking at the ground.
There is a door, that is shut and a window the opposite side, looking out into think forest.
Is there anything in the hut with me?

No. +Twist: Emotional event / Changes the goal

I look around the hut, empty...then suddenly i see a flash, my head hurts...a memory coming back to me?

No, and...

I collapse on my knees. The pain subsides. Before i get up i notice the floorboard beneath me is slightly loose. I manage to pry it free and look down. Do i see anything?
Yes.

Grenade.

Maybe an old war bunker perhaps? I have nothing on me to store the grenade and carrying it might seem suspicious. I decide to leave it be and hunt around the floor to see if i find anything else.

I pry open another loose floorboard and find a passageway or something below. As i'm looking down, i suddenly lose my balance and fall in.

Negligible: Nick/Scratch/Bruise.

It wasn't a big fall and my head hurts a bit from where i fell head first.
i look around around, darkness, though do i see a path or two?

My eyes adjusting, i notice two paths. i cannot see anything further, who knows where they lead or what is down there? I look up to where i fell from, bit too high to jump up. Try to climb but just keep slipping back down. Is there a ladder behind me?

Yes.

There is, great, i think its better to climb back up and venture out the door rather than trek down the tunnel. I note it is there though and refix the floorboards to their original positions.
I try the door, is it locked?

Yes.

Maybe i was forced in here? Maybe a prank gone wrong? No key, maybe i can force my way out. Door looks study enough, i will try to give it a good kick. Does that work?

No.

I'll try another kick and put some force into it, does that work at all?

No.

Rather than risk injury i look at the window, is that big enough for me to fit through?

Yes.

Is it low enough for me to kickthrough?

No.

I'll use the loose floorboard to try and break the glass, does that work?

Yes.

the glass shatters, i break away rest of the loose fragments. Do i climb out easily enough?

No. +Twist: Organization / Helps the hero

Struggling to climb out,the wall suddenly gives way and i manage to get out. Clearly climbing and strength are not some of my great qualities.

I can see thick forest in front of me. I go round the hut to see if there is a path or road?

Yes.

the path leads two ways, left and right.
I look left, do i see anything?

No. +Twist: NPC / Appears

I notice a figure aproaching

Cynical female cop.

As she approaches me, she asks what am i doing?
I explain i have no memory at all and not sure what i am doing here?
She eyes me and the hut suspiciously. Does she believe me?

Yes.

does she know who i am?

No.

"My name is PC Scotney, i need to search you otherwise i will arrest you!"
I let her and she relaxes a little. "We only patrol here as sometimes the kids get up to no good in this abandoned hut. The town is a mile back the way i came, we'll see what we can do to find out more about you"
I get the feeling it was more an order than an invitation, but i go with her, rather than her check the back of the hut!
I ask her some questions about the town and the where we are, does she want to talk?

No, and...

she instructs me to keep quiet until we get to the station.
A short while down the road, i notice a sign saying 'Beggers Hole'. Must be town name. We approach some buildings, the first one being the police station.

PC Scotney escorts me in and tells me to wait in the main entrance. She comes back short time later and says i can stay in one of their cells for the time being and she will bring me some food. By looking at her, i can tell she isn't giving me an option.....
